NEW YORK - Barcelona striker Thierry Henry is finally officially joined the club's Major League Soccer, New York Red Bulls, for the competition next season.
The Red Bulls tied it with a French attacker long enough contract. Previously, Henry was always linked with a move to the Red Bulls, although there never was confirmation from the player or B. The former Arsenal striker was quite frustrated because of difficulty into the core team since joining the "El Barca" in 2007.
Henry admitted glad to be joining the Red Bulls. "This marks a new chapter in my career and my life," said Henry in the club's official website. "An honor to play with the New York Red Bulls. I realize the history of the team and the only goal here is to help the club become champions," he added.
General Manager and Direkur Sport Red Bulls, Erik Soler, adding, "Henry is not only a world class player no doubt about its ability to improve our performance. But most importantly he showed looked like a winner."
"He has made all clear that he is committed to the club in the short and long term to help our club," he added. Henry will start his debut against Tottenham Hotspur in a friendly, 22 July. (SKY)
