Del Bosque 'Persuasion' Puyol

Madrid - After the World Cup, Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has a new assignment. He must convince the veteran central defender, Carles Puyol, to keep playing in the national team ahead of him.

In fact, Del Bosque also requested assistance to the Spanish Football Federation's sporting director (RFEF) Fernando Hierro to be able to persuade Puyol.

"He is an example for each of the players, including the coaching staff. I will try to convince him to keep playing for La Seleccion," he told Sport.

Puyol himself expressed doubt will be the announcement of his resignation. However, he also said a decision has not yet sure about his future career with La Furia Roja. He takes ideas from the environment and for teammates.

"With all sincerity, this is not a decision that had been established previously," he said.

"Actually, a year ago is much more clear to me. I almost left the international football, it's a natural thing for a player. But talking with co-teammates, coaches, Hierro and some of the most important person in my life, made me think again."

The player who is now 32-year-old is incised with its action at the World Cup scoring single for the victory of Spain in the semi-final match against Germany. Puyol is the fifth player who has been defending Team Matador carrying more than 90 games. source : www.pialadunia.detiksport.com
